Distance- Ken Paul

 

After serving nearly a quarter of a century in the U.S. Marines, Coach Paul has settled in Kent where he enthusiastically looks forward to his first season with the Conquerors after coaching for 17 years in a variety of locations.  A native of Massachusetts, Coach Paul ran both Cross Country and track for three years in high school and four years in college where he was named to the Massachusetts Coaches Athletic Conference Team.  One of his favorite moments was coaching and running on the Marine Corps team that competed in the 1994 Mount Fuji Relay Race in Japan.  

Coach Paul just celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with his wife, Wendy.  They have four children, two of whom were Kentwood graduates and runners.

Track Experience:  Some college, KW Record Holder in 110 HH and 300 IH

Something Interesting:  Involved in a motorcycle club – Ruff Ryders, Greets all new student athletes who break a school record with a "Welcome to the board"

Something Interesting:   I was the head coach at Kentwood from 1986-1993.  In 1991 we finished 2nd in the State Track Meet.  Coach McCoy was a member of that team.
